FCTS Drum Line Participates in Leyden Bicentennial Parade

On October 11th, a beautiful, crisp, fall day, the FCTS Drum Line gathered in Leyden to add a festive note to the bicentiennial celebration of Leyden Massachusetts. Dave Maloney, music teacher and Drum Line director, along with Cindy Caplice, Barbara Williams and Jocelyn Croft - self-proclaimed Drum Line moms, escorted the students to Leyden. After a hearty picnic lunch and brief warm-up, the Drum Line got into formation and marched through the lovely town of Leyden. The Drum Line was joined by a large contingent of antique tractors, horse drawn wagons and carriages and many emergency vehicles. The Leyden Bicentennial Parade was a very special, small town, New England event and FCTS was proud to be asked to participate.
