Students Organize Winter Clothing Drive

Students from the Business Technology shop and the IT Programming shop combined efforts to gather winter clothing for the Greenfield Family Inn. Throughout the month of November, collection boxes in the school filled with donated coats and other cold weather clothing. When the drive ended, 11 enormous bags of coats had been gathered.

Business Technology students, IT Programming students and their instructors stand behind the huge collection of coats. Shop instructors Tammy Hyson and Cyndi Bussey worked with the students to coordinate this successful drive.
Students load up a van with the bags of coats in preparation of delivery.
Students pack in the final bag of clothing into the van. By the time the van was fully packed, it was brimming with clothing from top to bottom.

At the Greenfield Family Inn, Bill, the homeless shelter representative accepts the donated items.

FCTS students are involved in many community service activities during the school year. These activities help students develop a better understanding of the society they are part of and how every person is capable of making a positive impact in the world.

Thank you to everyone who donated!
