FCTS Students Attend Massachusetts Agriculture Day

At State House

FCTS was represented at the FFA Massachusetts Agriculture Day by Carrie Coates, Kevin Kolakoski, Justin Bittner, Tyler Young, Courtney Rowland, Lindsay Niles and Justin Lawrence. FFA students from all chapters around the state gathered on the stairs of the State House for a group photo. Justin Lawrence, State FFA President and a 2008 graduate of Franklin County Tech delivers a speech to the crowd in attendance.

FCTS Goes to the 2008 FFA National Convention

October 21-26, 2008

43rd National Convention in Indianapolis Indiana. FFA is a student organization for schools that have an agricultural education program.. Following a win at the state level, the FCTS display went to the national competition and represented the State of Massachusetts in the HALL OF STATES competition. FCTS students, Lauren Colburn and Samuel Parker, attended the convention.
Dressed in their Massachusetts FFA jackets, Sam and Lauren arrive in Indiana. Over 54,000 students from around the country participated at the National Convention. Marie Superchi, FFA advisor, attended the convention with Sam and Lauren.

FCTS Students win at the FFA Safe Equipment Operation Competition

December 2, 2008

The 2008 Safe Equipment Operation competition was held at Bristol Agricultural High School. FCTS has an active FFA membership with leadership from the advisors Mark Amstein and Marie Superchi. FCTS won FIRST PLACE TEAM. Students on the team were Scott Wilder, Justin Vieu, Andrew Betsold and Joshua Liukkonen. FCTS also garnered a SECOND PLACE INDIVIDUAL award. Winner was Andrew Betsold.
