Other Important Projects of the Electrical Program

Leverett Peace Pagoda

Working in an environment unknown to most students, is the electrical work being conducted at the Peace Pagoda in Leverett Mass.
As seen in the pictures below, students, under the supervision of their instructor, Bill Gallant, have done extensive work
in what will be the living quarters of the pagoda.
More work will be done at the pagoda, offering students additional work experience along with an expansion of their familiarity to other cultural traditions.

Habitat For Humanity

One of the most beneficial projects that FCTS has had the privilege to be involved with is the Habitat for Humanity house project.
The project offers an incredible wealth of experience for electrical students, along with the carpentry, plumbing/heating and landscaping shops.
Bill Gallant, electrical instructor, says the house project really provides the opportunity for students to demonstrate their skills in open walls and other areas.
FCTS students have helped build two houses in Turners Falls. Shop teachers are hoping for another house project in the near future.
